The 2017 ALTOZ TRX610i and has a Kohler CommandPro 33EFI engine (ECV880). This TRX series Z-Trac mower has a 4-stroke engine that runs on gasoline and has the 61inch finish deck with high lift blades that cut very thoroughly. This mower has a low 75hrs on it. Battery is perfect. We are selling since we upgraded the farm to a diesel Kubota. Blades and all drive and deck belts are year old. Tracks have good grip that we used for retention pond maintenance... did not get stuck easily. Can easily tear into grass on sharp Z- turns.
Buyer note: Engine RPM drop under load while on hills and needs Parking brake cable tightend.
The EFI Kohler engine runs and starts well but needs attention to how it holds RPM power under heavy uphill load. Cold or hot it fires right up and quickly comes up to about 3600-3400 rpm at full throttle, with a stable idle around 1400-1600 rpm. Power is constant when cutting flat or downhill.
With the mower deck engaged and then climbing uphill at full speed, engine speed drops down over 1000rpm and bogs down unless you slow down, which has been frustrating on our hilly property.
From what I’ve read, this type of rpm sag under load on Kohler EFI engines can be related to fuel delivery or temporary fuel starvation rather than a basic mechanical failure.
In February this year I installed a new Kohler high‑pressure fuel pump, new injectors, new spark plugs, did an oil change, air filters, and replaced O2 muffler sensor but the rpm drop under uphill load remains and will require further diagnosis or adjustment of TPS and T-map sensors by the next owner.
Kohler manual recommends resetting the ECU, checking continuity on all wire connections, and doing a live fuel pressure while driving test. Then check all spindle bearings and clutch.
Please purchase with this in mind as we are not wanting any back and forth returns.
